The outer envelope, typically bearing the 64¢ Wedding Cake stamp issued on April 11, complements this elegant pairing.
Designed by Ethel Kessler of Bethesda, Maryland, the stamp features a delicate photograph by Renee Comet of Washington, D.C. The image captures two white roses gently resting on a piece of wedding correspondence, with a soft white ribbon visible in the background—symbolizing grace, purity, and romantic celebration.
